Misty the Mini gets a bath!

Misty was delivered on Saturday so has had a few days to settle in. Today was bath day - doesn't she look pretty? Quite a difference from when we went to see her the first time! Emma just loves her and spends hours walking her all over the place like she's a dog. Misty has made friends with our other pony Marigold - who is a bit like the cheerleader from high school that no other girls really liked except for the captain of the football team. So far so good for these two!

Iwound up some Angel Face on Friday - quite the job at 2500 yards! The colors are even more beautiful once it's wound....and you get two giant balls! Plenty for two or three lace projects!

Two of our sock club patterns are on the website in the patterns section - Adare Manor and Easy Does It. Next month I will have all of the past sock patterns in stock. Meghan Jackson designs the patterns for the club - they are brilliant - well written, concise, organized, relevant details. She's such a pro! My very favorite is Adare Manor - I think my new passion is beautiful lace socks in solid or semi solid yarn.

No Fourth of July yet - today is a holiday so we don't get any mail. I'm soooo crossing my fingers for tomorrow. It's been almost two weeks since they were sent - two arrived and two are still missing.
Friday night, I'm off to Indigo Books to meet the Yarn Harlot - I'm so excited. I'm going to get two books autographed. One for me and one as a Pick Up Sticks prize. Not sure what the contest will be yet but something......hmmm.....any ideas?

Connie - I have a favor to ask, I'm thinking about buying Angel Face (either 08 or 11), if I did could you wind it for me? I don't have a swift and I'd hate to make a hash of it.
If you get a change tell Stephanie "Isobel from Pittsburgh, says hi - the Smartie girl".

What a cute pony!! Uh, 2 weeks is nothing...can you believe I waited 5 weeks for some yarn? Stay strong...it'll arrive soon...hopefully...and 2 weeks is the standard for me now on shipments to me. So annoying!

Oh, Misty looks so sweet! My girls will love a mini pony like Misty but we don't have the space. Angel Face looks gorgeous - must go to your shop & take a look!

I'm going to see the Yarn Harlot on Friday, too. I'm so thrilled she's finally doing a Toronto event. I just finished my charity hat so I'm all set.
Misty is adorable. Your daughtert is very lucky.

I'm surprised that Emma doesn't want to sleep with her, I would.
I love the Mini Maiden, I love the colour, I'm keeping it. When I place my order (waiting for a couple of things to arrive before I place it), I'm taking you up on the Angel Face offer.

What a lovely pony! or horse? Mini horse? I must admit, I'm an admirer of equines but don't know too many - and the one time I went riding, my pony tried to smash me into a tree and knock me off when she decided to go home by herself halfway through our trail.

Not that yours would ever think of such a thing, I'm sure!

I am desperately trying to get "backup" for my on-call shift Friday night so I can head to Toronto for the Harlot too. I've set down my socks (just temporarily!) and am knitting a hat on my morning boot commute. I have a 45 minute hike to work and I can knit simple stuff while walking.

I just hope what I'm making turns into a hat and not a large bag. I did one swatch which was WAAAY too big, but just recalculated and dove in after that, as I don't have time!
