One More birthday Gift!

Meghan came by on Friday night and gave me this book for my birthday. It is a wonderful book filled with sock knitting fun! I keep looking at it thinking I should have some kind of sock club based on this book - it could include the book and then yarn each month for pairs that I really want to make?? What do you think? Most of the socks are done in solids and I do carry the best solid sock yarn in the world! (Louet Gems Merino) Hmmm - have to give it some more thought and see if I can get the books!

See these babies? These are amazing sock blockers! They are made from baltic birch and are tall. They come from Felt Up and they were way more than I expected them to be. They were so much longer than I expected that I had to order in special boxes for them. As if I didn't have enough boxes - after that skid! Sturdy, beautifully crafted - a fantastic sock blocker!

These little key chains with the pattern are my new gift with purchase! They make great use of left over sock yarn - they announce to the world that you knit socks and can turn a heel!

They are free with an $80 purchase! Remember $60 gets you free shipping, and now $80 gets you free shipping and a free keychain sockblocker!

I ordered a ton more Fleece Artist on the weekend - Sea Silk, Great Big Sea Silk, and Merino socks - all in all I should have about 150 skeins of Fleece Artist goodness arriving sometime in March! Not too mention the new Sea Wool which is fantastic!

Oh, Connie, I think doing a club based on Favorite Socks is a super idea! I already have the book, but would love to participate in a club based on it. Also excited about the Fleece Artist coming. I have a shawl started in Sea Silk in the Glacier colorway and LOVE it. Can't wait to get my hands on some of that Sea wool!

Hi Connie!
I just wanted to stop in and say I since I just found your blog. I'm that crazy gal who phoned you up with the order during our blizzard a couple weeks back. I'm happily knitting with the sock yarn as we speak. Awesome to see you're a Grey's-watcher, it's one of my few TV addictions, even though I sometimes have a love/hate relationship with it ;)

Hi Connie, I don't have the book yet, but it's been getting such great reviews from fellow sock-knitters, it IS on my wish list. I think you'd have a lot of people interested in this as a sock club, including ne :).

If you hold off until april when I get my copy of Favourite Socks, we can do a KAL if nothing else!!!

Great idea!

Okay, stupid question:

What's the benefit of blocking socks?

Up until this point, I've just worn them straight off the needles.

Am I missing a crucial step?

Great idea - I have just ordered my copy from Amazon & waiting for it's arrival in April. I will love to participate & knit with your gorgeous yarn.

How did you have that book? On Amazon.ca and on Chapters.Indigo.ca, they will have it only April 1st. I'm living in Canada too so. This is strange.
Oh and yes, I would love to do a KA with you based on that book.
