Ok I've been debating all morning about whether to post about this or not. But I cannot help myself. Today I was organizing under my bathroom counter and happened to notice a salutation from the makers of feminine products that just about made me crazy. Right there on the individual packages of these feminine products is a sticker that says - Have a nice period!
Please, is there a woman in the world who would appreciate a comment like that? Would someone please tell me who would think something like this up? How ridiculous!

Oh ya, the worst one I've heard on TV is "have a happy period" and I'm thinking, ya, right, what woman ever has a happy period? Sheesh. Advertisers.
and if you say something, it's PMS ...

Do they include some chocolate and maybe alcohol in that box along with the necessary products? That would make it a happier period!

I'd be happier if they'd trim the selection down from 80 to 4 and stop making them with glitter, neaon colours, hearts, fuzzy bunnies... Holy crap! Put something that does the job in a tasteful package that isn't going to be humiliating in the only available checkout lane that is manned by a greebly, teenage boy! There, now I'm happy :).
yet another reason i'm happy to be using cloth pads... no stupid slogans to make me just that much more irritable during my period!
and they're not "gross" as so many of my friends have disparagingly exclaimed when they ask what brand i use. but i guess that's what the advertisers want us to think so that we continue to buy their throw-away chemical filled products in a day and age when the environment is in such bad shape.
never mind that they're *so* much cheaper in the long run... more $ for the important things, like yarn ;).
