67 Holland Street West, Bradford

Here's those doors! And here's my shop! Yipee!

I'm discussing sign location with the landlord.

Here's the doors again - the sign says:

YARN SHOP

OPENING SOON!

www.pickupsticks.ca

There's will be three yarn rooms - this is the first one. It faces the street!

This is the front part - the desk is going, the panelling is going to be painted and new carpet will be laid.

I have a desk that belonged to my grandfather - it's going to be for check out.

This will be for an office - the computer etc. Online headquarters!

Here's another room - Emma was very excited.

This is the SnB room and the classroom! Also, will be used for packing up all those orders!

And last but not least - The Throne Room - imagine the toilet is up a few steps! A real, live throne!

No invite from Ravelry for me yet - I've been looking at it and wishing and wishing and wishing for one.

Almost finished this month's STR sock - I got really ticked at the toe. It's a short row toe with grafting on the sole of the foot! Pulllllllleaseeee! Lovely yarn - beautiful pattern except for the crazy toe!

Hi Connie
The store front is great. Reminds me of an old bank. Lots of potential for a great yarn shop. A yarn shop in Bradford is a long time coming. Thanks for making it a reality. A short drive for me, all the money I save on gas I can spend on yarn.
Congratulation on getting your location of choice. I admire your fast turnaround once you had made your decision. A woman of action.

Told you it was going to happen, I just knew it. Yahoooo! The store looks lovely and yes the doors are a selling point. This means that sometime next year a huge RV may be pulling up to your storefront and you'll be putting on the kettle. It couldn't happen to a nicer girl. Hugs, hugs, hugs.
I'm off to see where I am on the Ravelry list, thanks Angela for the info.

This must be an incredibly exciting time for you. Your new building looks so charming! I have one comment to make - and it's about the "throne room"! Is there any way you can provide accessible bathroom facilities to your guests with disabilities, especially wheelchair users and others who can't climb steps? A yarn shop in my area was able to accomplish this by working out an arrangement with the beauty shop next door. The yarn shop's clients are welcome to use the beauty shop's already accessible restroom. It's a no cost solution that, nevertheless, welcomes people with disabilities and makes it possible for them to participate in classes and to just hang out. If you need any information on improving accessibility, just leave a message and I'll be in touch. (Don't worry - I'm not selling anything - I'm just a wheelchair user who loves to knit!)
