It's A Good Day!

Why you might ask? Well, for one the sun is shining and I love, love, love when the sun shines especially in Spring! You can always tell when it's Spring because the horses start sun bathing. Yup! They are all lying out on the grass soaking up the rays, looking alot like they might be dead. It's amazing to see and causes cars to slow down regularly on our road.

The next reason is that my Rockin Sock Club arrived today! It is breathtaking - stunning - incredible - you name it, it's it! No pictures because I don't want to be a spoiler! For once being "international" gets things here quicker!

And....remember this....well, the yarn arrived today and will be posted over the next couple of days so keep checking! Here's the details (you better sit down......maybe even lie down!):
Handmaiden Fine Yarns
Mini Maiden
50% Silk/50% Wool
500 m/100gr.
3mm
26/4"
If this doesn't make the most luxurious socks I will eat my hat! I loved, loved, loved (well, you get the picture)knitting with it. It's also great for shawls and socks and I think relatively new! I first spied it at my LYS and knew immediately it was something to bring to Pick Up Sticks!
I'm going to start sending out weekly updates with what's coming during the week but I won't be sending any more "time" announcements that something is online at a particular time. That created havoc and lots of frustration for everyone - I think it's better if you check regularly and things actually sell more slowly and are pictured on my website for more than 30 seconds.
By the way, I'm at the Knitter's Frolic this weeked (April 28 9 am - 4 pm) at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Center at Don Mills and Eglinton so if you're local come and check it out. There's 44 vendors and last year that had over 700 knitters! Pure heaven if you ask me!

Does that mean that if we go to the Frolic on Saturday we might meet you? That would be fun!
The Mini Maiden sounds heavenly and I love the way the Fleece Artist colours blend. I've made several pairs of socks from their basic merino and the colours are gorgeous every time. I can't wait to try to the new silk blend.

Do not tempt me with yet more Wool I Must Have! My last order just arrived today, full of lovely stuff, surely enough to last at least a month, especially considering the sizeable stash it's been added to, and yet I yearn for Mini Maiden....

thanks for letting us know about the mini maiden! i'm always looking for opportunities to buy more handmaiden yarns. :)

i'm thrilled to hear that you'll be at the knitter's frolic this weekend. i'm ashamed to admit that i've been a bit quiet on shopping from pick up sticks but i'll make it up to you this weekend by stopping by to say "hi" and picking up a few woolly treats. :)
